Olympique Lyonnais have announced via their website the official signing of AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta on a permanent deal. The 23 year old midfielder had fallen out of favour under manager Stefano Pioli which led to his exclusion from the squad despite and injury/illness crisis. The Brazil international was purchased in the winter transfer window in early 2019 by then director Leonardo but did not live up to the hype struggling to adjust to changing managers and struggling to carve out his space in the squad.

The youngster is signing a five year deal with Lyon. He played 44 games for Milan scoring just one goal and providing three assists in all competitions. The confirmed figures in the deal are 20 million euros for the permanent transfer including a 15% of any future resale. This is an incredible deal secured by Paolo Maldini to ensure that Milan are not strapped with dead weight and wages wasted on the bench.
