AC Milan left back Ricardo Rodriguez was set to leave the club and move to Turkey to join Fenerbahce with confirmations coming last week but the move has fallen off the tracks due to complication with FFP and the Turkish FA. MilanNews.it reported that the transfer especially the wage of the Switzerland international is deemed excessive by FFP standards for Fenerbahce thus the club will be forced to sell some players before they can complete this signing and may delay the move from this transfer window to the Summer. A new report today from Nico Schira indicated that the club could still close by the end of January given the impending departures of Victor Moses to Inter Milan and Miha Zajc to Brescia as Fenerbahce free up wages.
#calciomercato

Rodriguez has lost his place in the starting XI at Milan to Theo Hernandez who has been the marquee signing at Milan this season as he is currently the sides top scorer with 6 goals. Rodriguez will still be able to cover for the France youngster this season and complete the move when Fenerbahce sort out their financial situation. Milan had been interested in acquiring Juan Jesus from AS Roma as an additional cover at CB or LB if Rodriguez left as we reported here.
