AC Milan look to have missed out on Inter Milan's Matteo Politano after their brief pursuit following the public outcry against Suso after his terrible performance in the 0-0 Sampdoria draw. Sempre Milan are reporting that AS Roma seem to have swooped in and are close to finalising a swap deal with Inter where the winger Politano will move to Rome in exchange for the wing back Leonardo Spinazzola.

A similar deal was under consideration last week where Suso was being considered for swap deals with Roma's Cengiz Under but the ACL tear suffered by Nicolo Zaniolo in the fixture against Juventus has changed the circumstances. Roma seem to have expedited their pursuit for a replacement attacker for the rest of the season by going in hard for Politano thus ending two possible Milan moves in a single shot. The negotiations for Suso to Roma will likely be over while the talks for Politano to Milan will have failed.
