Stefano Pioli discussed the possibility of a formation change against Cagliari and is looking likely to start with two strikers up front. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not 100% fit to start games yet but could begin alongside Rafael Leao as Piatek looks to be on his way out.

If Milan go with the 4-4-2 the formation will include Kessie, Castillejo, Bennacer and Calhanoglu as the midfield and the defence would remain the same as the previous fixture against Sampdoria where Milan drew 0-0. Caldara and Borini have been left out of the squad as their transfers approach while Reina will join the squad one final time.
