Sky Sports are reporting that Aston Villa have reached an agreement with AC Milan to take goalkeeper Pepe Reina on a loan for the rest of the season. Milan look to be trimming the wage bill this transfer window and Reina represents a huge cut despite not featuring much. The report states that the former Spain international will arrive in Birmingham on Monday to undergo his medicals ahead of the move. Reina will be returning to the Premier League after his long stint with Liverpool that ended in 2013.

The transfer is pretty much a done deal and it's reported that he will take a 6 month contract with Villa with the option to renew. Reina will be replacing the injured Tom Heaton who arrived in the summer for 8 million pounds.
