There have been lots of rumours in September. Here's a breakdown of Milan's transfer rumours with our likelihood meter and compatibility rating:
AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund lead the chase for Nemanja Matic when his contract expires in 2020 https://t.co/zn6DWVGxgR
— MailOnline Sport (@MailSport) September 18, 2019
Nemanja Matic, Manchester United
Rating: C+
Likelihood: 5/10
Matic is nearing the end of his contract with United. Milan would reportedly look into acquiring him on a bosman transfer in 2020. The Serb is currently playing his third season in Manchester after spells with Benfica and Chelsea. Despite his age, Matic has been influential and dominating in midfield. He would be a good depth player and could be a teacher to the likes of Bennacer, Kessie and Krunic.

Dani Olmo, Dinamo Zagreb
Rating: B+
Likelihood: 6/10
Olmo is an on-the-rise attacker olaying in Croatia. The 21-year old has played as a winger and an attacking midfielder where he has broken out in 2018/19 with 12 goals in all competitions. The young Spaniard is going strong this season impressing in the Champions League qualifying rounds, he is a player for the future and will come with a hefty price tag given his many suitors in Europe.

Rodrigo de Paul, Udinese
Rating: C+
Likelihood: 4/10
The Argentinian winger has been blowing up Serie A for a few seasons now and has been begging for a shift away from Udinese but none have materialised. This past summer saw moves to both Milan and Inter fall through however Udinese’s dismal start to the season may change his mind in January. Milan are on the hunt for attackers but seem to have the relevant players at LW with Leao and Rebic.

Eduardo Camavinga, Rennes
Rating: B+
Likelihood: 7/10
The 16 year old has been highly rated since joining the Rennes first team in December 2018. The player has been scouted multiple times by Milan and has been a spark in Rennes midfield. The youngster also will soon choose between playing for Congo or France for the future and is coveted by both national sides. Camavinga has featured in 7 games for Rennes this season and grabbed an assist.
After failing to sign him in the last days of the summer transfer market, Milan have no intention to give up on Everton and will continue to follow him closely planning to make an investment for him in summer 2020 unless there is a necessity in January [@FabrizioRomano] pic.twitter.com/EiY4GidbwG

Everton Soares, Gremio
Rating: A
Likelihood: 8/10
Milan continue to be linked with the Gremio winger after three failed attempts to lure him away from the Brzilian side. Everton has been a breakout star for his club but also left a huge impression during the Copa America when he stepped up to replace the injured Neymar. Everton bagged three goals in the Copa America and lifted a trophy this past year.
Pochettino is unconvinced Jan Vertonghen should be handed a new contract by Spurs after a downturn in his performances this season.

Tottenham’s decision-makers want to see an improvement in Vertonghen’s performances before handing him a new deal.

Jan Vertonghen, Tottenham
Rating: B+
Likelihood: 7/10
Vertonghen has had a terrible start to the season, he has looked slow and gets caught out of position often. The Belgian is due for a contract renewal but Pocchetino seems unlikely to give him the new deal. The centre-back has had interest from Milan in the past and now could be brought in to add depth and experience on a bosman. It still seems rather unlikely given Milan’s youth focus but he could be an intriguing addition.
