Ante Rebic has been found guilty of serious rough play and insulting an official today. The new Milan loanee has thus been suspended for 5 games in European club competitions as a result. The infraxction came when Eintracht Frankfurt took on Strasbourg in the UEFA Europa League play-offs last month. Rebic received a red card in the 44th minute as his squad managed to win the game 3-0 in his absence. FOX Sports are reporting that he received a three match ban for his red card and a further two match ban for insulting an official.

AC Milan who are skipping out on the Europa League this year through a voluntary agreement after breaching FFP rules will be targeting a return to European competitions next seasons. However, they will miss the services of their new Croatian recruit for 5 out of 6 group stage games of either the Europa or Champions League - if they qualify.
STRAIT #REDCARD from the Europa League! As pointed out in our original review of Rebic, he has a tendency to been rather indisciplined on the pitch and this has haunted him previously. He has got off to a rough start with Milan picking up a yellow in his first game where he featured for 45 minutes and has received a dire suspension for the upcoming season. Let's hope he can prove himself with strong performances in the league and the cup in the meantime.
