Ante Rebic Officially Joins Milan

Milan strike at the end of the summer transfer window to acquire Croatian striker Ante Rebic

After failing to close a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa, AC Milan have now signed Eintracht Frankfurt player Ante Rebic. This deal is reported to be a two-year loan with no option to buy at the end. In return Milan have sent Andre Silva on the same two year loan to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rebic has played in Serie A in the past playing for Fiorentina and Hellas Verona respectively. Rebic then moved to the Bundesliga where he played for RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt. At Eintracht Frankfurt Rebic flourished scoring 25 goals in 100 appearances. Rebic was also part of the Croatian team that went to the final of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. In the World Cup Rebic appeared 9 games and scored 1 goal.

Ante Rebic is player that Milan have been missing in attack for some time now. He brings pace and good technical ability upfront. Rebic is also versatile as he is able to play on the left wing, behind the striker or upfront as a striker. With Rebic coming in he is surely to be slotted into the starting eleven and it will be interesting to see where head coach Marco Giampaolo uses Rebic.
