Finally AC Milan have made an official announcement about their summer signings. Real Madrid left back Theo Hernandez has officially joined Milan. This transfer is on a permanent basis which is surprising as it was rumoured to be a loan with option to buy.

Hernandez will sign a contract that will keep him with Milan until 2024. Since joining Madrid from Deportivo Alavés, Hernandez has been less than impressive. He then had a loan spell at Real Sociedad where he continued his lack lustre play.

Hernandez can bring pace to Milan which is something they have been lacking for many years. Hernandez also has experience playing in European competition. In his career he has won the European super cup, a spanish super cup, a club world cup and a UEFA Champions League.

It has been yet to see what Milan will do with Ricardo Rodriguez as Hernandez might compete for a spot in the starting eleven. With 4 left back on their roster in Strinic, Rodriguez, Laxalt and now Hernandez Milan will surely need to sell off some of their dead weight. Hopefully Giampaolo brings the best out of Hernandez and he can finally play to his potential again. At the age of 21 Hernandez still has plenty of time to regain his form and leave his mark on Serie A.
