Bennacer is also reportedly a target for Fiorentina, but Milan would likely have a better chance at landing the Algeria international midfielder, who is currently playing at AFCON with his nation. Milan have been linked with a number of midfielders this transfer window, and Bennacer is the latest name to crop up.

Bennacer and Tiemoue #Bakayoko, who spent last season on loan with Milan from #CFC, had very similar stats last season. Here's a closer look at them compared. pic.twitter.com/T3VvWEdv99
Milan are in need of at least a couple new midfielders to execute new manager Marco Giampaolo’s style of play, and landing someone like Bennacer would be a good move. He doesn’t have the pedigree of someone like Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira, but he’s still only 21 years old and his statistics last season in Serie A were extremely similar to former Chelsea loanee Tiémoué Bakayoko.
Do you think this would be a more affordable alternative to Torreira or Jordan Veretout? Let us know what you think in the comments!
