AC Milan are linked with yet another young attacking midfielder, with Racing Club’s 21 year-old Matias Zaracho the latest name attached to the Rossoneri. Zaracho recently made his senior debut for the senior Argentina side after making seven appearances for the U20 side, scoring a single goal.

Zaracho made 23 appearances in last year’s Argetine Superliga, scoring three goals and adding three assists. He also made eight appearances in the 2019 edition of the Copa Libertadores, scoring a single goal.
Racing won the league, in part thanks to Zaracho’s contributions, and while he reportedly has a €25 million release clause, it’s also reported that Milan’s Director of Football, Ricky Massara, isn’t willing to go over €18 million to land the attacker.
Milan seem to be linked with a few attacking midfielders recently, with the club looking to add some bite to the attack and add some more young faces as well. Going after young players that could increase in value is how many clubs do their business, but it’s not exactly been the model for Milan.
The rumors surrounding Zaracho could just be more agent talk, or the club could be looking at getting more young prospects at the club. Just don’t hold your breath or get a custom shirt just yet.
