Ozan Kabak only moved to Germany this past January

The youth movement appears to be in full swing at AC Milan. 19 year-old Stuttgart defender Ozan Kabak is the latest rumored target of Milan.

Kabak only joined Stuttgart during the winter transfer window, making the move from Galatasaray to Germany as an 18 year-old. Since then, he’s managed to impress enough that he’s been linked to a number of European giants, and his low release clause, reportedly €15 million, means that someone is going to land him without splashing all a ton of cash.

The defender made 13 first-team league appearances, and four Champions League appearances, for Galatasaray before his move from Turkey. At Stuttgart he scored three goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances, which is a pretty eye-popping number for a central defender.

Milan have been linked with a number of defenders this transfer window, so this move wouldn’t be a shock, and the club is supposedly going to start investing in young talent and developing them, so landing a young talent isn’t out of the question. However, if he does join, look for him to go out on loan to gain first-team experience, as he has a number of players ahead of him angling for playing time, including captain Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio, and Mattia Caldara. Caldara is coming off of a lost season, so he’ll be anxious to get into the starting lineup.

Overall, there has been a lot of rumors about this move, so there is a significant chance this transfer gets done, probably better than 75%. Of course, nothing is totally done until the player signs on the dotted line, so don’t buy a shirt with his name on it just yet.
