Rossoneri Round-up for 13 June: Barring any changes, Milan set for this year’s Europa League

The Court of Arbitration for Sport will not hear Milan’s appeal of UEFA’s ruling against the Rossoneri until at least the middle of August, meaning that unless something drastic changes, Milan will participate in this season’s Europa League.

It might be a good thing for Milan to be able to go straight to the group stage of the Europa League, however would it really be the worst thing in the world if they missed it?

It seems UEFA wants to lay down the hammer to punish Milan for spending money beyond their means in previous seasons, no matter if the current owners have a real plan to break even and get the club back into the black. And while it won’t be great to miss out on European Football, considering what happened last year, would just agreeing to punt this season’s Europa League and focus on Champions League be better? Elliott Management must have a lot of faith in their lawyers and their business plan.

On to the links.
