After a year and a half on the job it appears as if Gennaro Gattuso is finished as the manger of AC Milan.

It has been a very difficult year for Gattuso as there have been ups and downs both on and off the pitch. Many reports out of Italy suggest that a decision was made after a meeting was held between Gattuso and Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis. During the meeting it is being reported that Gattuso and Gazidis were not in agreement as to what to do with the squad in the future. It is also being reported that Gattuso will hand in his resignation and leave 90% of his salary on the table. This means that Milan will not have to pay a severance which will not cause a financial problem on the squad.

With Gattuso gone the big question in the Milan organization is who is gone be the coach next season? As reported by Anto Vitiello, the top candidates for the Milan job are Leonardo Jardim, Simone Inzaghi and Giampaolo.
