Gennaro Gattuso spoke to Milan TV after the win over Fiorentina, and acknowledged that while Milan no longer have their destiny in their own hands, if they continue to win then they’ll at least put themselves in a good position to qualify for the Champions League.

Gattuso told Milan TV:

We’ll keep on hoping to qualify for the Champions League until the very end. There’s regret on our part because for almost the whole of the league season our destiny has been in our own hands. However, prior to our wins against Bologna and Fiorentina we picked up five points from seven matches and it’s only right that we are where we are. We need to continue in this way, now we’ll immediately start thinking about Frosinone and see what happens. There are always a lot of surprises in football, we can’t get it wrong again.

There are two games left, and right now it’s pointless to dwell on what could have been and how many points Milan have thrown away. All that matters is that Milan need to win their last two matches and let the chips fall where they may.

On to the links.
