Milan go into this winner-take-all semifinal second leg against Lazio with a little more than bragging rights on the up line. Due to some, ahem, extracurriculars after the Serie A win over Lazio at the San Siro a few weeks ago, there has been anticipation about this semifinal.

It's now being rumored that Gennaro Gattuso is going to go with a 3-4-3 formation, bringing in Mattia Caldara as a starter for the first time all season in the second leg of a semifinal, along side Mateo Musacchio and Alessio Romagnoli.

It seems unwise to completely change formations ahead of an important match, but in Rino we trust, eh?

No matter what formation or who takes the pitch in today's match, the absolute difference maker will be this team's ability to get Krzysztof Piatek the ball in the box. The striker has been starved of service lately, and while he makes half-chances look easy, he can't score if he doesn't get the ball. Solve that problem, and Milan should be able to dispatch a Lazio team that lost last weekend to Chievo Verona. This match is at the San Siro, so there is no excuse not to get a win and head for the Coppa final.
