Hakan Calhanoglu could be headed back to the Bundesliga this summer transfer window.

If Milan are to make changes in the summer, which they certainly may feel they have to, then Calhanoglu is reportedly one of the players that could be sold to fund new acquisitions. RB Leipzig are one of the teams reportedly interested in landing the Turkey international midfielder, and it’s believed that they are willing to pony up about as much as Milan paid Bayer Leverkusen for his services.

Honestly, Calhanoglu has had flashes this season of the player he was for Milan last season, but he’s not been as good this season, so perhaps it’s for the best if he is allowed to move on. Calhanoglu’s strengths don’t lie on the wing, so he’s always been a bit of a square peg in a round role out on the left., With Lucas Paquetà being a more creative and effective creative midfielder than Calhanoglu, it’s time for him to move on and let the money be spent on getting a left winger in.
