Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli spoke to Milan TV after the match and had some interesting things to say.

Romagnoli said:

It’s a vital win, one that allows us to continue on this run. Today, we didn’t play well but on nights like this the three points are what matter most. We were compact and ruthless. Now, we’ll prepare for the derby which will be a tough game. We’ll have to give all we’ve got and look to get a win before giving everything in these next three months. The goal against? It’s disappointing because it’s never nice to concede. Piatek? He’s strong and showing it. Cutrone also puts his soul into it when he plays. Let’s congratulate them and hope that they continue like this.

Milan weren’t at their best against Chievo, but hey, a win’s a win, right? Three more points while Napoli dropped two, meaning that right now Milan are six points behind second place and seven points ahead of AS Roma in fifth place. It a long season, and not every win will be pretty, but an ugly win is still better than a brilliant loss.
