Well, this is potentially good news.
Lucas Biglia reportedly trained with the first team yesterday, meaning that he is likely fit enough to at least make an appearance on the bench for the match against Cagliari this weekend.

He likely isn’t going to be fit enough to go the whole 90 minutes, so the likelihood of him starting the match on the bench is very high. Of course, with the form that Tiemoue Bakayoko is in right now, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to put Biglia back in the starting XI, even if he was fit enough to play the whole 90 minutes.
The question will become if the formation is alerted to include Biglia or who would be benched for Biglia’s return to the side in a 4-3-3. Would Paqueta be moved to the left wing? Or would Franck Kessie sit? These seem to be good problems to have, instead of hoping you’ll have enough fit players to play in midfield as Gennaro Gattuso had to do earlier in the season.
