Milan come into the match as the team in form, as the only match that they’ve lost since Christmas was the Supercoppa to Juventus in Saudi Arabia. Milan has also won three straight Serie A matches and has scored three goals in each of them.
Lazio, on the other hand, have won only two Serie A matches since Christmas, and have bombed out of the Europa League at the hands of Sevilla. While they’ve been impressive in their Coppa Italia matches, they’ve struggled to find their form in the league.
Both teams need to advance in the Coppa Italia to have any chance at silverware this season, and both teams are still competing for spots in next year’s Champions League.
This should be a good match-up, and it will go a long ways towards defining what kind of team that Milan has right now.
