Caldara said that he “can’t wait to return” to the lineup. Caldara has a tall task ahead of him, having to win a place in the lineup ahead of Mateo Musacchio, who has formed a pretty good partnership with Alessio Romagnoli this season. Caldara might be the more talented of the two, but Gennaro Gattuso doesn’t always like to mess with a good thing.
Perhaps we’ll see Caldara make a debut soon, but in the meantime, Romagnoli and Musacchio have been outstanding and there is no reason to believe that it will change anytime soon.
