AC Milan have confirmed on their website that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is joining the club after his two year stint in the United States with LA Galaxy where he scored 54 goals. The former Sweden international will be returning to the Rossoneri seven and a half years after his departure and will look to inject some fighting spirit into the 11th placed side.

He will be reportedly signing a 6 month contract with provisions for a year long extension dependent on his personal performances. The club website confirms that he will join the rest of the squad at Milanello on the 2nd of January 2020 ahead of Milan's games against Sampdoria in the league on the 6th and SPAL in the cup on the 15th.

The former Rossoneri played a central role in Milan's last title victory in 2010/11 where he scored 21 goals in all competitions in his first season followed by 35 in his second season. Despite only playing two seasons for the Rossoneri this decade, he has remained the top scorer for Milan over the past ten years. The striker also played for Manchester United and PSG since he departed the San Siro where he won both league titles and a European title.
