After the last match against Spal mid week Milan turned their attention to Lazio on Sunday. Well Milan had a few decent attacking spurts in the first 35 minutes, they looked poor. Surprisingly Samu Castillejo was a bright spot. Then he sustained an injury and had to be subbed off the pitch. Ante Rebic came in and the Milan attacks just completely fell off. Lazio scored after terrible man marking by Leo Duarte, Milan answered back with an extremely lucky goal by Piatek. After 45 minutes I wasn't convinced Milan could pull out a victory.
A good performance that wasn't enough: Lazio win the game

Just like last week the second half was very similar to the first half minus the few bright spots. From what I saw in the second half this team lacks conviction and the desire to win. Many of the players do not have the fighting spirit that is necessary at Milan. Lazio scored late after another terrible play by the defence. After that it was evident Milan were not gonna equalize. The 90 minutes concluded and Milan suffered another loss.
Now let us look at the AC Milan player ratings!
STARTING LINE-UP
Gianluigi Donnarumma: This was a up and down game for Gigio, at times he looked brilliant as he made saves the keep Milan in the match. Other times he was shaky in the air mishandling balls that were lofted into his box. 6/10
Davide Calabria: Calabria’s poor form continues sadly. Again and again he is poor on the right side, at the moment Milan can't win with either Conti or Calabria playing right back.5/10
Leo Duarte: Last week Leo Duarte showed a lot of promise and this week Leo Duarte was pretty terrible. Him and Calabria on the right side continually got torn up by the Lazio attack and on numerous occasions they were out of position. Also Duarte was the one man marking Immobile on Lazio’s first goal. 4.5/10

Alessio Romagnoli: This wasn't the best performance from Romagnoli. Like the rest of his defence he was torched by the Lazio attack. However Romagnoli did make some plays that saved Milan from an even worse scoreline. 6/10
Theo Hernandez: Theo Hernandez continues to impress me, his pace and offensive ability are phenomenal. Defensively he performed like the rest of the defence so it wasn't great but it wasn't worse then those on the right side. 6/10
Rade Krunic: Krunic got the surprising start in this match and he wasn't too bad. He isn't a wrecking ball like Kessie but he is a lot better on the ball. Krunic could be a serviceable rotational player for Milan. 6/10
Ismael Bennacer: Ismael Bennacer was the man of the match for a lot of Milan fans. He was one of the best performers of the match. He is one of the few players at Milan that actually fights for the badge. Bennacer is surely an upgrade over Biglia. 6.5/10

Lucas Paqueta: In my opinion Paqueta has so much potential, he just needs to continue to improve. Paqueta also needs to improve his finishing because in the past 2 matches he has had golden opportunities in front of goal but has failed to capitalize. 5.5/10
Hakan Calhanoglu: With Pioli Calhanoglu has a lot more freedom to roam all over the field. This has helped him a lot as he seems to be the driving force for Milan in the attack. My belief is that Calhanoglu isn't Milan quality but he’s the best they got right now. 6/10
Krzysztof Piatek: From what I saw Piatek was very poor throughout the match. Yes, he did score but that was a fairly lucky touch that hit Bastos and ended up in the back of the net. On the ball Piatek can't do anything and that isn't what Milan need right now. Milan should focus on developing Leao and put Piatek in the backseat. 5/10

Samu Castillejo: To everyones surprise Samu Castillejo was Milan’s best player for his time on the pitch. He looked created and decisive in the final third which was breath of fresh air. However he went down on the pitch and was seen crying when leaving the field so, his injury could be serious. 6.5/10
SUBSTITUTES
Ante Rebic: Rebic continues to disappoint me. There was a decent amount of hype surrounding his loan move but all that hype seems to be dying out. I’m not sure what's going on with Rebic but with his talent Milan should look to fix this problem immediately. 4.5/10
Rafael Leao: This game was a stinker for Leao. He came in and wasn't very effective expect for maybe a play or 2. With all that potential Leao has, he should be getting continuous minutes for Milan. 5/10
Jack Bonaventura: N/A
I'm just...I'm just sad.
