AC Milan and Spain winger Suso hit back at the Former Italy Deputy Minister Matteo Salvini. The pair had an exchange online in the comments section of Milan's instagram. The politician commented on a birthday post for Suso saying, “Hoping that Father Christmas brings you a bit of pace, grit and desire to play football.” Suso responded in kind saying, “Thank you. Hoping that Father Christmas brings you a bit of pace, grit and desire to manage better, much better, a country that I love.”

This is not the first time the politician has criticised Milan players, coaches and even management. Last year, Gennaro Gattuso hit out at the politician telling him to focus on politics and leave football to the professionals.
