According to Football Italia, AC Milan are reportedly pursuing Arsenal midfield duo amidst the Gunners crisis in the Premier League. Granit Xhaka - who has been stripped off the captaincy - is atop Milan's list as potential experienced signing for the midfield. The Switzerland international is expected to be open for a move after his fallout with Arsenal fans and has been pursued by Milan in the past. A Swiss outlet, RSI also reported that Xhaka was looking at real estate in Milan this past week.

On the other hand, the report indicates that Milan may also be pursuing their top summer target Lucas Torreira again. The Uruguay international was expected to join in the summer but the links were not strong given his starting spot at Arsenal however the midfielder has somewhat lost his place and not received adequate playing time this season.
Moreover, Milan are expected to have an edge for both these deals as Ivan Gazidis was CEO of Arsenal when both players was signed thus has a rapport and will look to lure them to the San Siro in January. The Xhaka deal looks likely as it makes sense for all parties however Torreira would clash with Bennacer who Milan just invested in.
