Vito Angele of Sempre Milan is reporting that AC Milan have gone forward with their decision to fire new manager Marco Giampaolo after his string of poor performances. The former Sampdoria boss has only earned nine points out of a possible twenty one in his first seven games in charge.
As we previously informed you, there were three main proposals in Spalletti, Pioli and Gracia however Milan seem to have settled on the former Inter Milan coach who led the Nerrazurri to the Champions League in 2017/18 and 2018/19.
Gianluca di Marzio is now reporting that Luciano Spalletti has said yes to Milan and will sign his contract with the Rossoneri during the international break prior to taking over. The issue will be the negotiations with Inter as Spalletti is currently under contract with Milan’s rivals and will need to leave this contract to join Milan. If Milan manage to remedy the situation with Spalletti’s contract he will join the club very soon.
Milan accelerate for Spalletti and are pushing to close the agreement with him. The parties are at work to terminate Luciano's contract with Inter & find the agreement with Milan. In the event that the contractual issue is not resolved, Milan will reportedly turn to Stefano Pioli and Rudi Garcia as the top back ups followed by Caludio Ranieri. What seems very clear is that the Milan management is determined to dispose off Giampaolo within the week.
