So what was the point of all the Yannick Carrasco rumors?

Carrasco’s agent, Federico Pastorello, said:

It’s very unlikely he’ll move, as Dalian Yifang have formally taken him off the market,

His name could be back in the headlines over the summer. In truth, the negotiations never really started. There were some shows of interest from Italy, but we never went beyond that.

All of the Carrasco rumors seemed to come from his camp, so does this mean that it was all just a way to get a better contract or try and convince a team to pony up for him? Or perhaps the interest stopped as soon as the salary demands were mentioned?

Either way, Carrasco’s probably not coming, whatever.
