It appears that 21 year-old Belgium international midfielder Youri Tielemans might be on the move, with a variety of clubs interested in the player’s services.
Barcelona, Manchester United, and AC Milan are all reportedly interested in landing one of the few Monaco players that have performed well in this nightmare of a season for the club.

Leonardo Jardim was reportedly set to sanction a sale for Tielemans earlier in the season, but it Thierry Henry wanted to keep the midfielder at the club. However, with Jardim back after Henry was sacked last week, it appears that Tielemans might be on the move after all.
Tielemans joined Monaco from Anderlecht in the summer of 2017, and he’s scored five goals in 20 league appearances this season. That might not be eye-popping numbers, but don’t be fooled. Consider his final season at Anderlecht, the one that earned him a big-money move to Monaco: 53 appearances in all competitions with 18 goals and 15 assists. That’s a pretty dominant season for a midfielder, and an extremely impressive for a teenager as well.
The question is if Monaco is willing to sell and if they are, where the player wants to go. Both Manchester United and Barcelona have much deeper pockets than Milan, so if a bidding war breaks out, Milan would be out almost immediately. As for the player’s choice, Milan might have an advantage of being able to offer much more playing time than the two other clubs. The wages, however, might be a sticking point as the television money available to Manchester United and Barcelona are able to afford much larger payrolls and higher wages on average to players.
This rumor could be from Monaco, wanting to sell a player late in the window to bring in some new players to improve performances, or it could be an effort from an agent to try and either get the player out of the club or a new contract. Either way, the inclusion of Milan in this rumor seems odd, given the FFP position that Milan is currently in, not to mention that the club has already invested in Lucas Paqueta and Krzysztof Piatek this window.
So basically: don’t hold your breath.
