Paolo Maldini took a slight dig at Gonzalo Higuain and left the possibility of more deals to come.

Maldini said:

We’re fourth and we have the chance to qualify for the Champions League. We have lots of players on our books, so we’ll see how we’ll be at the end of the transfer window.

The Coach is handling the situation well, as are the club. Every team go through bad spells, it’s normal, but when the Coach works well and the club are strong, there’s no problem.

Since our first day here, we’ve told the players those who want to stay at Milan will stay.

That last sentence about players who “want to stay at Milan” staying seems like a dig at Higuain, no?

It’s doubtful that Milan will be done this window, as the club absolutely needs to qualify for the Champions League to progress as a club and with the other Serie A clubs in competition for the spot not exactly making ground-breaking deals, an opportunity exists for the club to strength while everyone else stays put. It’s a good a time as any to try and seize the day and go for it.
