José Mauri and Fabio Borini spoke to Milan TV after the 1-0 win over F91 Dudelange.

In regards to the match, Mauri said:

We didn’t underestimate the opponents but their start to the game surprised us. We did better in the second half, scoring the goal and creating chances. We all did our best for the whole game. There were lots of new players who had never played together. But we all showed great dedication. The win is what matters most. It’s always difficult to face this kind of teams because they always give something more when they play against top clubs. But we never gave in and this is good.

Borini added:

A win was a must in this Europa League opener against a team we didn’t know that well. I think we did well, we take home the three points and didn’t concede any goal. We created many chances, both Higuain and I, the margin could have been wider. In modern football, there’s not much difference between the teams.

So yeah, it would have been nice to see Milan go out and paste them 5-0 or something like that, a win is a win and three points count all the same no matter what. And some fringe players got rotated in while some other players got some rest.
