Oh no.
AC Milan young star Patrick Cutrone was taken off in the 37th minute of the Italy U21 team’s friendly against Albania with a suspected sprained ankle.

Italy went on to win the match 3-1 as Parma’s Federico Dimarco, Lazio’s Alessandro Murgia, and Torino FC’s Vittorio Parigini all scored goals.
Cutrone’s actual diagnosis wasn’t revealed, and while he was taken off of the pitch, it was reportedly over the protestations of Cutrone.
Hopefully whatever injury that Cutrone has suffered is minor, and he’s able to play against Cagliari over the weekend. Milan are a bit thin at striker, with the only other recognized striker on the roster is Gonzalo Higuain. A few other players have played up front at times in their careers, like Fabio Borini, but none of them have played up top for an extended period of time.
Milan went into the season a tad thin at striker, so hopefully Cutrone’s injury isn’t serious and won’t keep him out of action, otherwise there is a great risk that Milan’s season could be derailed before after only a few games.
