The Milan players on international duty with Italy will face off against one of their former teammates today, the on-loan striker André Silva.
Nuno Gomes believes Andre Silva arrived at Milan at the wrong time https://t.co/jmXJToR0v4 pic.twitter.com/s1tGWxttZB

About his unsuccessful time at the San Siro, former Portugal striker Nuno Gomes told Tuttosport that:
He arrived in a difficult period for the club. When a young lad, who still does not know a lot, is seen as the savior of the team, things do not usually work. He has had a difficult time, he has also lacked confidence, but I tell you that he is a strong player. He is not a typical 9 like Pipo Inzaghi, but he is a striker who moves a lot and knows how to handle the ball, often he assists his teammates. He’s not the one that just scores.
André Silva did only score two goals in Serie A for Milan, although he probably should have had more. He scored a hat trick on his debut for Sevilla, of course, and maybe he could have come good for Milan. However, it seemed like he wanted to go, and with Nikola Kalinic’s form that saw him start over Silva for large stretches of the season, maybe he felt he was’t used correctly. Of course, with the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain and the play of Milan’s own Patrick Cutrone, perhaps the former FC Porto forward saw that his time would be up no matter what.
