AC Milan still considering Bernard, will resist Chelsea interest in Brazilian

Milan and Bernard want each other, but other clubs are also interested

While all the headlines are on Gonzalo Higuain’s move from Juventus at the moment, many are distracted from a talented name could join the Rossoneri. Bernard, whose contract expired with Shakhtar back in June, could very likely move to AC Milan.

The Brazilian wants a move to Milan, report Calcio Mercato. He demands a salary of around €3 million a season over 4-5 years. Even though he wants to go to Milan, he’s still considering moving to Chelsea. The Blues have shown their interest in the player for some time now, especially with Willian approaching the exit door. Chelsea are pushing harder for the player but the winger is waiting for an answer from Milan before deciding.

Milan are still on the hunt of another left winger as talks for Depay have completely broken down. Leonardo feels Bernard should be added to the squad as a backup for Calhanoglu, but it’s possible that Bernard could take his spot. The 25-year-old scored six goals and had three assists in 19 league appearances last season for Shakhtar Donetsk.

According to reports Bernard’s agent was previously at Casa Milan to meet with Leonardo over the move. As some players are getting ready to depart the club, the former Atlético Mineiro player is getting ready to join the club and hopes for a new adventure.
