Carlos Bacca returned to Milan after a spending a year on loan in Spain at Villarreal, but it doesn’t look like he has a future at the club.

Rumours have Milan looking at signing at least one striker and are also looking moving a few players on to different clubs. Along with Nikola Kalinic, who has been rumored to close to a move away from Milan, Carlos Bacca will apparently plying his trade elsewhere next season.

Gennaro Gattuso, never one to mince his words, said the following about Bacca’s status:

I’ve never coached him and he has a contract with Milan. Thirty-one will be at Milanello, where my staff are waiting for him.

I know he wants to play in Spain again. There are rules to respect and a desire to stay at the club.

I won’t force anyone to stay. When I come back to Italy, I’ll talk to him and see. If he wants to stay then great, otherwise it’s better if he leaves.

So count Bacca down for a return to Spain then, eh?
