Patrick Cutrone is set to sign a new contract with AC Milan after a good and impressive season in Serie A, despite the fact that his current deal does not expire until 2021, according to Sports Illustrated.
The 20-year-old has risen to stardom with a great debut season, scoring an impressive 16 goals in 42 appearances this season, including 2 goals in a 5-1 win over Fiorentina in the final game of the season.
Reasons for this are a plenty, with a new higher wage being the headliner to secure his services for years to come. Add a possible departures by Nikola Kalinic and Andre Silva and Cutrone could be the sole man in charge of Milan’s scoring hopes next season.
He’s already earned a call up to the Italian National Team and will keep improving.
For Milan, this is great news amid much uncertainty over concerns of ownership and a possible ban from Europa League by UEFA.
This shows the people in charge are at least considering the future of Milan and not putting it off to the side. The transfer window for Milan this summer might be more important than last’s considering all this movement.
All fans can hope for is more good news than bad.
