Calhanoglu had a great season at Milan this past season, but the ownership drama and the UEFA FFP antics might mean that he’ll have to leave the club. RB Leipzig has reportedly proposed taking Calhanoglu back to the Bundesliga, after the winger had left Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
Milan shouldn’t be forced to sell unless the UEFA FFP decision is harsh, and even then it wouldn’t make a lot of sense. Of course, if a new owner doesn’t come in and there is a cash crisis, all bets are off.
