Not exactly a hot take here, but Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura thinks that Milan have to be “great” in order to win the Coppa Italia later this week.

Bonaventura told Milan TV:

We’re playing against a great team in a beautiful stadium. We have a huge desire to play a great game.

Juventus are a great team, they have a squad of the highest quality as they’ve proven this year and in past years, in both the league and the Champions League.

It’ll be a difficult game, and it will take a great Milan to win.

Milan have stumbled a bit over the past few weeks after going on a remarkable tear through Serie A, and while it won’t be the trophy that most Milan fans would have been hoping for at the beginning of the season, the Coppa is still better than no trophy, right?
