Another day, another juicy transfer rumor. This time it’s from Corriere dello Sport (translated by Calcio Mercato), AC Milan will once again try to capture Torino striker Andrea Belotti to the San Siro during this summer’s transfer window.
Technical Director of the Rossoneri, Massimiliano Mirabelli, previously attempted to sign the Italian international last year, but the club were unable to meet the reported €100 million asking price.
Milan of course, have been in a great stretch of games being unbeaten in Serie A since Gennaro Gattuso’s takeover. This is important because if Milan do NOT qualify for European competition then UEFA could impose severe transfer sanctions on the Rossoneri for violating Financial Fair Play Rules.
Still, Milan could use the presence of a world class forward, which Belotti is, to help in Europe next season as is the case now. Even with Patrick Cutrone and Andre Silva’s recent performances a chance to sign a player of the caliber of Belotti is rare.
We will have to wait and see what Andrea and his team decide to do this Summer.
