Recent Form

AC Milan: W/W/D/W/D

Milan are still unbeaten this calendar year and that’s not something that should be taken lightly. Playing away from home, the Rossoneri will have tons of confidence going into the match, looking to blank the seldom drawn SPAL side. I expect a big match from both Suso and Hakan, as SPAL have had issues with holding their defensive lines and closing gaps.

Here’s a fun fact: SPAL hasn’t kept a clean sheet in league play since October. Sure, they held Inter to a 1-1 draw (thanks for that by the way), but they also dropped five goals to Lazio. This team is all over the map. They find a way to play decent at home, drawing 4 of their last 5 matches, but guess what? That won’t phase Gattuso’s newly invigorated squad. I expect two to three goals from Milan against what should be considered a much weaker side.

Milan: Marco Storari, Andrea Conti, Matteo Gabbia, Gustavo Gomez and Nikola Kalinic are out of the squad.

SPAL: Konate Pa Momodou - broken foot & Marco Boriello.

Gennaro Gattuso will be taking this squad with him:

GOALKEEPERS: A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Guarnone

DEFENDERS: Abate, Antonelli, Bellanova, Bonucci, Rodriguez, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Zapata

MIDFIELDERS: Biglia, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu, Kessie, Locatelli, Mauri, Montolivo

FORWARDS: Borini, Cutrone, André Silva, Suso.

After last week’s bitter draw, the Rossoneri will surely be dying to come out firing. We’ll need to see better efforts from midfielder Lucas Biglia and, surely, Hakan Calhanoglu. I imagine they will once again line up as a 4-3-3 with Hakan and Suso on the wings. The question will be does Andre Silva or Patrick Cutrone get the start up top? I’m guessing Cutrone, as Rino will want to see a change after Silva’s uninspiring performance last week.

2-0 Milan with goals from Hakan and Suso.
