Leonardo Bonucci credits manager Gennaro Gattuso for creating a different mentality for Milan.

The club has been on a remarkable run as of late, going undefeated so far in 2018. And while sometimes coaching is broken down into tactics and the like, there is something to be said for making players feel comfortable with each other and giving them confidence. After all, these are all professional footballers who have played the game since they could kick a ball. Gattuso can’t teach them anything they haven’t heard before. But fostering an environment where they are accountable to each other and play for their teammates? That’s priceless.
