Rossoneri Round-up for 21 December: Cutrone getting upset about being subbed off isn’t a thing

Let’s not make this a thing.

Patrick Cutrone was upset about being substituted off against Bologna, and considering the team hasn’t scored in two straight Serie A matches, who can blame him?

Quoted by Calciomercato.com, Cutrone said:

It was all over in a flash. I know I was wrong, so I explained to the Coach that it was a misunderstanding.

I have already apologised to him and the whole squad. I was hurt and there was a misunderstanding with the bench over whether I was able to continue or not.

I take the blame, but every player wants to be out there and my desire was to give a bigger contribution to the team.

This isn’t a thing and shouldn’t be treated as such. Cutrone is passionate and bleeds rossonero so he’s always going to want to be on the pitch. Isn’t it better to have someone who cares than someone who goes through the motions?
