AC Milan look to renew Suso deal despite Real Madrid interest in the Spaniard

Suso is one of the best players in Europe at the moment. He is the core in Gennaro Gattuso’s squad and is the most prestigious player the club has. The Spaniard’s top class performances have proven that he is able to compete at a high level. His great form has attracted interest from top clubs, including Real Madrid. AC Milan is looking to extend his contract and release clause to fend off the teams in the race for his signature.

Suso has shown that he is a key player at AC Milan. He’s scored four goals and assisted on another seven in only 10 Serie A appearances, one of the best leagues in Europe. The 24 year-old has been constantly improving ever since his arrival in Milan, getting better every season. He arrived at the club in 2015, signed from Liverpool for just over €1 million. The Rossoneri certainly got a bargain, paying very little for a ‘flop’. The attacker then showed that he has what it takes at AC Milan.

The former Genoa man’s splendid form can possibly earn him a contract extension. Leonardo is looking to offer Suso an extension until 2023 as he looks to raise his release clause. The current €38 million clause on the player seems too low, with many top clubs able to easily match the fee. Among these clubs is Real Madrid, who are reportedly very serious on purchasing the Spaniard.

The reigning European champions are going through a very negative phase. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo has seriously affected the club, especially as no proper replacement has been found. Florentino Perez believes Suso can be the one to lift Real Madrid and put them back on top.

The former Liverpool man is very happy at AC Milan. He wants a contract renewal and is ready to reject all offers from other clubs, including one from his home country. Suso can possibly become a legend at the club if his form stays like this, he surely has a bright future ahead of him.
