Rossoneri Round-up for 16 November: Donnarumma: We ‘forgave’ Higuain for his red card v Juventus

Gigio Donnarumma said that the Milan players have “forgiven” Gonzalo Higuain for his outburst and meltdown against Juventus.

Donnarumma told Rai Sport:

We forgave him, he is a great guy and apologised to everyone. It was a very important game for him and the key is that he knows he made a mistake, so won’t do it again. He even spoke to the referee and apologised to him too.

He was so disappointed, I went over and consoled him. He needs to stay calm, because he can give us a big hand and I’m sure he will do.

Of course, if Milan lay an egg while Higuain is suspended against Lazio and Parma, his teammates (and fans) might feel a different kind of way about his “mistake.”
