AC Milan has an unrelenting month ahead. Their next six fixtures are:
Lazio v Milan (Serie A)
Milan v Dudelange (Europa League)
Milan v Parma (Serie A)
Milan v Torino (Serie A)
Olympiacos v Milan (Europa League)
Bologna v Milan (Serie A)
In this period Milan have the critical task of securing a top-two spot in the Europa League with must win games against both Dudelange and Olympiacos and other other hand Milan have to fight off Lazio to keep grasp of a European spot before taking on some of the most unpredictable Serie A side in Parma, Torino and Bologna.
The beginning of the season has not been kind to the Rossoneri and we have at a critical crossroads where the next six games that are tightly packed into the space of one month can make or break the season. The trouble is Milan do not have options to rotate the squad due to the sheer number of injuries. Here is a breakdown of the damage:
DEFENSE
Mateo Musacchio - 2 months - Lesion of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament
Mattia Caldara - 2-3 months - Achilles tendon rupture
Davide Calabria - 0 months - Ankle Injury
Andrea Conti - 1 month - Knee Surgery (Stabilise Left Knee)
Ricardo Rodriguez - 0 months - Adductor problems
Ivan Strinic - 1-2 months - Cardiac Hypertrophy
MIDFIELD
Lucas Biglia - 4 months - Disrupted Calf Muscle
Giacomo Bonaventura - 5 months - Knee Surgery (Inflammed Ligaments)
Franck Kessie - 0 months - Fatigue
ATTACK
Hakan Calhanoglu - 0 months - Foot Injury
Patrick Cutrone - 0 months - Ankle Injury
Gonzalo Higuain - 0 months - Back Injury & Suspension
Every single player currently on the list above could be in the starting XI thus this poses a big issue for Gattuso given the upcoming games. He must ensure fitness of the squad and hope for minimal fatigue, no suspensions nor further injuries. All of the players in Italics should recover by the end of the international break.

Lastly we have perhaps one of the more significant losses in Gonzalo Higuain who has received a two-game ban for his outburst at the referee against Juventus. He will miss key games against Lazio and Parma but should therefore rest Cutrone against Dudelange.
Let's hope for the best and pray our players recover!
