Alessio Romagnoli, as well as Gennaro Gattuso and Gonzalo Higuain, spoke to Milan TV after Sunday’s match against Juventus. While he did laud Juve’s quality, he spoke of the break as a chance to “recharge” and that the team needs to be focused on the upcoming match at Lazio.

Romagnoli said to Milan TV:

We created as much as possible. It was not a game with many chances, it hurts to have lost but they were better than us. They are among the strongest in Europe. We all did well, we were compact and united, even under two goals we remained in the game and we did not give too much away. I know Zapata very well, he’s good. Higuain’s reaction was unfortunate, he exaggerated and he is aware of this, he was wrong and apologized. After the international break we will play against Lazio, our direct rivals: it will be fundamental. During the international break, energies are replenished, we played every three days in this period and tiredness is understandable. The extra week can help us recharge our batteries and prepare the away game in Rome.
