On the result and how it compared to the other matches so far this season, Gattuso said:
We were playing well also when results didn’t come. When you win you’re always in the right. Apart from the Olympiacos game, we have always played good games. We need to improve in defence, but if we create so many chances it is normal to concede something at the back. We still have lots of room for improvement and there is plenty to work on. I would be very pleased with a clean sheet in the derby, but now I just want to enjoy the break.
He’s right that Milan has plenty to improve upon on the defensive side of the pitch, but as long as Milan are scoring goals, it’s all good.
However, can Milan reach a top four position in the table by simply looking to outscoring their opponents? We’ll find out.
