The Rossoneri started fast with a lot of pressure on Chievo Verona quick but even as the chances came, as usual, they lacked quality finishing. Then in 7 minutes, Gonzalo Higuain put the game away for Milan and showed exactly why he has been what the team has been missing since the departure of Ibrahimović.
The quick start by AC Milan was great to see but still frustrating as Kessie missed from point-blank range 6 minutes in and multiple created chances were just not converted. It felt like games of the past few weeks where the chances come but Milan can’t finish them.
As Milan got into the game Suso came alive for what will be remembered as one of his best performances in Red & Black as he served up 3 assists right after he was called up again to the Spanish national team.
The services from Suso was great as Pipita grabbed a brace in what has to be his best performance for Milan so far. After a cross skips past everyone Suso retains the ball in the box and squares it to Higuain who puts it away for his 5th goal in 5 games.

Suso then did it again for Higuain’s 6th goal in 5 as he receives the ball at the top outside the box and puts it straight into Higuain who in two touches turns and puts it in.

After halftime, the game was finally finished off with a Bonaventura goal that put Milan up and in firm control of the game. Jack got the pass from Suso and hit it hard, with a deflection it was past the goalie and another one on the board for Bonaventura this season.

Chievo got one back in the 63rd minute after some errant play by Milan led to a quick counter and goal. Yet another game for Milan without a clean sheet. In the 93rd minute, Calhanoglu had a goal called back for offside and shortly after was the final whistle was blown as Milan close a game with conviction for the first time this season defeating Chievo 3–1 at the San Siro.
