Lucas Biglia spoke to Milan TV and the press after the loss to Inter Milan in Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina. Someone had to face the press after the club surrendered a last-minute goal, and it might as well have been the experienced former Argentina international.

Bilgia told Milan TV after Sunday’s match:
We are disappointed, it hurts, but we have to bounce back on Thursday, we faced a physically strong team, we lacked in possession and play a quality game: our best traits. Now we have to get back to work, our objective remains the same (qualification for the next Champions League) and we have to regroup, they pressed us, we could have done better but we also did some good things: there were some good aspects. We have to be smarter, Inter’s cross should not have reached the box like that: we got it wrong and we are aware of it.
He’s correct in saying that the team needs to move on and concentrate on two important matches, but this was still a pretty brutal loss. Just “being aware” of the how the goal was scored isn’t good enough, not when Milan hasn’t kept a clean sheet in Serie A all season.
This team had better figure something out quick, or things will get ugly again.
