Gianluigi Donnarumma said that the win over Sassuolo gave Milan a boost.

Speaking to Milan TV, the young Italy goalkeeper said:

The win over Sassuolo gives us a morale boost, after a period which wasn’t great,

We handled the match very well, it wasn’t easy because they’re a good team who play good football but now we can enjoy this win.

There are moments during a game when you have to hang on and just stay in it, where you need to fight together and not concede.

We were good at doing that, and we were clinical up-front too and were able to win the game.

It’s good to get a win over a hot team like Sassuolo, and it’s even better to get that win on the road. Let’s hope it carries over to the next few matches.
