Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli is ready for the Derby della Madonnina.

The captain told Milan TV:

It’s only natural that, as captain, you feel more responsibility, but rather than add pressure, it gives me more motivation and makes it an even more fascinating challenge.

We are aware that this game can give us that extra push. Other than it being the derby, Inter are also our direct rivals for a place in Europe.

It’s an intriguing derby in terms of tradition, with the stadium, the fans and many other elements. I’ve won some derbies, lost others, drawn some: that is football. I hope to continue winning.

We’ve got to play in the Milan style, impose our football on the game, make the most of our chances and limit their attacks as much as possible.

It’s crucial to keep it tight, remain concentrated for 95 minutes. We already know their strength and movements, but we have to concentrate on our own football and not concede.

The match against Inter is probably the biggest match of the season for both clubs. Let’s hope that while the team is prepared, that the emotions and the hype surrounding the match don’t overwhelm the team.

Gattuso has is work cut out for him trying to get this team to start keeping clean sheets, and there is no better time like the the Milan derby to get it right, and Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio, and Gianluigi Donnarumma all need to be on their toes and at their best if they are to shut Inter down.

On to the links.
